Hello there:

For the past few months, I've been designing an RPG in PHP. At the moment, it's playable, but needs improvements and extensions. The current state of the project is closer to a hack-and-slash, since I am still tinkering with code for plots and quests--dialogue trees are going to be a pain, but I'll have to get to them shortly. At the moment, what I am looking for is some people who can test the game mechanics, mostly for scalability; I am getting some good feedback on the relative difficulty of monsters from my friends in the Yahoo chat room Physics:1, but there just isn't a criticla mass of input yet, so changes to the strengths of monsters and items are haphazard at best.

I've signed on to a few sites such as this one over the past week, so I am hoping that my entreaties will encourage enough interested beta testers to give me the feedback I'm looking for. The website is www.chronotos.com/dgcrawl/ -- making an account only takes a username and password, with no personal information required (mostly because I hate spam and am always wary of providing my primary email address myself). I wrote up some rudimentary forums code earlier this week, so I will watch for suggestions and comments both in this tribe and on my site.

Thanks in advance!
~Randall

It is a Psionics friendly gameworld that was a setting for their Psionics Companion. (This isn't an advertisment...you can't buy it anymore, I'm telling you how great it WAS. :)

I helped to playtest this, it was badass, so I have seen how far you can go in marketing your own product from playtest to sale. You can do it, but you'll need heart.

BTW, I will be running a game on the SF Penninsula...if you like Psionics and 3.5, give me a holler.

I don't know if anyone here is out in the Bay Area, but I'm trying to start a new group. I plan to run a lot of short story arcs, trying out a variety of games, from Heroquest to Dogs in the Vineyard, and whatever else seems neat. If anyone is interested, or knows someone who might be, please contact me.
All you have to do is sign up with aol or any offer from the list. Choosing a free trial of some sort is the best way because you can easily cancel right away before your credit gets charged at the end of your trial period. The site is run by the Gratis network and it is completely legit. Check out google for some luckky peoples' stories.

Anyways, for any of you not familiar with Ragnarok online, it is a beautiful anime RPG with great scenery, artwork, characters, and depth. You can choose a Job for your character including Archer, Swordsman, Merchant, Priest, and more. The GROV3 server features guilds, guild castles, guild wars, hourly server checkups, and about 100 players so there is virtually no lag whatsoever. Message me with any questions or concerns.
